Reinforcing Science Education through Music, Song, and Animation

What People Are Saying...

"I enjoyed immensely what “Biologee Rap” has produced on “Photosynthesis” in two parts (Part 1: The light-dependent reactions; and Part 2: The light-independent reactions). They are awesome and highly effective. This is the way to teach and interest students in the sciences. I have used it in my lectures already at the undergraduate level around the World. Students love it and understand the basics much more easily than just from the books. I am certain that such videos will help students of all ages (I dare say from 9 years old to 90 years old). I will be using these songs and videos in my lectures on Photosynthesis to students of all ages wherever I go."

"The BIOL-O-GEE R.A.P. videos are exceptionally well-done and will certainly add some accurate and exciting perspectives about photosynthesis to my classes. These photosynthesis videos include great detail – including accurate descriptions of photosystems, electron transport, oxidation-reduction reactions, enzymes, and so much more! I am particularly impressed with how splendidly the detail is integrated into an entertaining and fun approach to a complex series of biochemical reactions. I especially like the information about why photosynthesis is important for life on earth.  The BIOL-O-GEE R.A.P. videos add a certain flair to the classroom and most definitely engage students in the learning about science. I hope to see more of these types of videos and will enthusiastically use them for the courses I teach."

"Having taught Principles of Nutrition for over 17 years, I'm always looking for ways to freshen the content and engage my students. When I reviewed a copy of the BIOL-O-GEE RAP "Digestion" video I knew it was a must view for my class. I just taught the Digestion chapter but will show it again in a few weeks after my students have had time to 'digest' more content info on carbohydrates, fats, and protein.

The video is catchy and appealing to many different academic levels. I think it is simple enough for high school and perhaps even middle school, yet not too elementary for my college students. Lyrics accompany the video in addition to a fill-in-the-blank worksheet and supplementary information. Nice added value material. I've made a request that they develop dance moves - only half kidding there. My only regret (aside from no accompanying dance moves), is that there are no more videos pertinent to my intro nutrition class. Excellent video - highly recommend!"
