Kirsten is an animator and director based in the LA area. She holds an M.F.A. from the renowned CatArts and a B.F.A. in Experimental Animation from the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been featured on TV, on the web, and at various international film festivals. Her 2010 stop-motion short “Bottle” received the first ever Student Annie Award (2011), Best Animation at Slamdance (2011), Grand Jury Award for Best Animated Short at the Florida Film Festival, Best Animation at the Arizona Film Festival (2011), Best Film (International Short Category) at Cortoons in Italy (2011), the Prix D’OR at the LES Film Festival (Lower East Side in NYC, 2011), the Stop Motion Award at Animex in the UK (2011), the Community Choice Award for Best Animation at the Vimeo Awards (2010), Best Animation and the overall People's Choice Award at the Rockport Film Festival in Rockport (2010), as well as taking top prizes at GIRAF6 (2010), Anim’est (2010), the Stop Motion Film Festival (2010), the Special Jury Prize at the Linoleum Festival in Moscow (2010), and others. Her 2008 animated film "Sweet Dreams" won the Special Jury Award at SXSW in 2009 and LACMA's Young Director award in 2010.
