Dr. Nolan holds a Ph.D. from the City University of New York, an M.A. degree from City College, and a B.S. degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She is the Chair of the Biology and Health Promotion Department at St. Francis College, Brooklyn, New York and teaches General Biology, Ecology, Genetics, and Marine Biology.
Dr. Nolan is on the board of the Association of Biology Laboratory Education (ABLE), the Vice President of the Metropolitan Association of College and University Biologists (MACUB) and a past president and current board member of the metropolitan New York chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS).
Prior to teaching at St. Francis College, Dr. Nolan taught at Yeshiva University, Columbia University, Iona College and La Guardia Community College.
Dr. Nolan is very much interested in environmental and health science and in laboratory education in general. She thinks that the BioL-O-Gee R.A.P.TM animated music videos will really augment the teaching of biology.
